How are we at the halfway point already? The last six months have gone so quickly! One minute we are seeing in the New Year with hugs, kisses and big cheers (I was actually in bed by 10pm and asleep – my party days are few and far between these days). The next we are thinking about what fun the summer months are going to bring with days out, holidays and lots of ice cream.
I have 2 whole weeks off with my little boy at the end of next month as the childminder goes away for her holiday. I am really looking forward it! It looks as though my little boy might be ready for potty training so it will be the perfect opportunity to give it a go. I am also looking into what days out we can do. Any ideas for a very active toddler that loves being outside are very welcome!
So what’s happened in the Presents For Preemies space?!
The main thing to happen at Presents For Preemies is that there is a lovely new website. It has taken me a while to get used to the behind the scenes but with a lot of help from friends I am getting there! I absolutely love it and can’t thank Kate enough for doing the initial set up.
There have been lots of blogs from me as well as guest blogs and six new book of the month features. Lots of topics have been covered from helpful resources, due date pressures and we had a grandma’s perspective of having a premature grandchild, not to mention Jo, Clare and Stacey sharing their personal stories with you (thank you so much ladies!). Other guest blogs have come from some incredible people with products and services that might help a preemie family. There was batch cooking meal ideas and recipes from Jacky at Confident Cooking, bonding tips from Leanne Astalos and how the power of stories can help siblings understand what is going on from Sophie Marsh.
More products will be appearing on the website over the next few weeks, so look out for those! I will be sharing them on Facebook, Instagram and Pintrest so you shouldn’t miss out! Pintrest is a new platform I am using and I have to say that I love it! I didn’t realise just how much is on there.
I am also looking into a new book project. Since becoming an Amazon number 1 best-selling co-author I have been asked a few times if I am planning to write any more books. I would absolutely love to do this and have a few planned. However, first I want to focus on this new project. Listening to preemie parents they would have loved a book with other parents sharing their neonatal journey which would have helped them prepare for their own experience as well as give them hope. I would love to make this happen so very soon I will be seeing who is interested in becoming a co-author and sharing their story. If you think this is something that you might like to do then feel free to get in touch.
I know we are only at the halfway point of the year but I am already excited as to what the next 6 months has in store!
