I met Jessica through the book that we co-authored in 2018. Jessica soon went on to have some amazing ideas for other book projects that she wanted to do. The Child Author Project was just one of those amazing ideas. She managed to achieve making 115 children Amazon number 1 best-selling co-authors.
The Child Author Project was an idea that I have had for many years. I had always dreamed of becoming an author, from a very early age. When I was in my early teens, I was given an opportunity of writing a book project and became published for the first time in a children’s collaborative community project. I was intrigued by the topic about what made children happy so did a little research. I came across this Australian site which talks about a very interesting study into what makes children happy.
You won’t be surprised that it’s people (and pets) that rank highly for children and them being happy rather than material things.
More about Jessica and the book
Jessica went into the corporate world training and developing different skill sets. The book we co-authored led her to find her passion for writing again. Jessica is a strong believer in mind set and truly realises the importance of mental health. She is very open about her own mental health and highlights signs to look out for as well as suggestions for how others can help. The inspiration behind this book was learning what happiness meant to children. The children didn’t let her down reminding her of their innocence and the creative places that their imaginations take them.
This project has huge plans but one of its core beliefs is show children how absolutely amazing they are and to show them they can achieve anything. Jessica said: I feel so passionate about nurturing children’s skills, creativity, passions and curiosity. The project encompasses these values to show children they can still be successful band accomplished by being themselves.
Be sure to look out for the next book in the series which is focusing on Kindness. The first book has had global involvement and been a huge success so I have no doubt that this second book will follow suit. The children have loved being involved and they have been on the radio talking about their experience as well as appearing in local press. How amazing is it that they can achieve something like this at such a young age!
The child author project going forward
The book projects are an amazing opportunity to start up conversations about emotions, feelings, mental health, happiness, positivity and kindness. Jessica believes that getting children to explore these topics at a young age empowers them to become stronger, kinder and understand the importance of a healthy mind.
The Child Author Project’s objective is to give back to the community and support those who need support. Jessica is passionate about every child realising how amazing they are irrespective of their location, background or the economy.
We are on a mission to inspire the world, one child at a time!
